PRINCE2 History

PRINCE was initially founded on PROMPT, a technique made by Simpact Systems Ltd in 1975, and embraced by CCTA in 1979 as the standard to be utilized for all Government data framework ventures.

PRINCE was built up in 1989 by CCTA (the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency), which had been renamed as the OGC (the Office of Government Commerce). In June 2010, the Office of Government Commerce Best Practice Management moved into the Cabinet Office to conduct its practices. PRINCE2 was distributed in 1996, having been added to by a consortium of somewhere in the range of 150 European associations. When PRINCE was launched in 1989, it viably supplanted PROMPT inside Government ventures. PRINCE stays in the general public domain and copyright is held by the Crown.
